“Building Safer Neighborhoods”
A neighborhood is a place where people live, work, worship and play. It’s also a gathering of people who live in the same area.
Neighborhoods can help keep themselves healthier by forming partnerships within the neighborhood called a Neighborhood Watch.
Part of McDuffie County Sheriff Office’s mission is to teach citizens to become more aware of steps and actions they can take to better ensure their safety and to help to maximize the delivery of law enforcement services.
Crime Prevention is responsible for informational and educational workshops and activities focused on community crime prevention. While criminal justice agencies can respond to crimes, it is the neighborhoods that can help to prevent and reduce such crimes.
